We’re delighted to announce that Redruth-born Perran Moon was today selected as Camborne, Redruth & Hayle’s next Labour Parliamentary candidate. Ninety members turned out in the cold for the selection meeting, which took place at Heartlands, Pool, and a dozen members voted by post.

Perran said: ‘As a Redruth lad, to be selected to represent the Labour Party at the next General Election in Camborne, Redruth and Hayle is the greatest honour of my life. After a dozen years of abject Conservative failure, the thousands of voters I’ve spoken with while out campaigning in Camborne, Redruth and Hayle have had enough.

As the government flails around cluelessly trying to clear up the multiple messes that they have themselves created, a General Election cannot come too soon. And whenever it does, the Labour Party will be ready and will put forward a positive message of hope and renewal, based on a sound economy and a fairer, greener society. We will be taking that message from doorstep to doorstep right across Camborne, Redruth and Hayle.
