Matthew joined the Labour Party in 2009, and since then has worked as Youth and Student Officer, LGBT+ Officer, and currently as CLP Secretary. As a student, he founded the Labour Society at the University of the West of England, and worked to set up Bristol Young Labour. A Redruth Town Councillor and current Town Mayor, Matthew is a firm believer in grassroots action and community work.
