After the police were called to protests by pupils and parents at Camborne Science and International Academy (CSIA) yesterday, Labour’s Perran Moon says the school’s Trustees have “very serious questions to answer.”

“I have been contacted by a number of concerned local parents and I’m deeply disturbed by the situation in the school with pupils out of class and police and media outlets at the gates” said Perran Moon, Labour’s parliamentary candidate for Camborne, Redruth and Hayle. “It is not at all conducive to learning. Quite simply, the Trustees should never have let it come to this and it is through their failings and poor communication that we have this difficult situation”.

“I urge the Trustees to get a grip and provide some swift answers and assurances to parents and pupils to prevent any further disruption to learning. This unacceptable situation cannot continue.”
